Our company is a leading manufacturer of high quality bakery ingredients and finished baked products. Our fillings and icings are of the highest quality and have excellent taste and eye appeal. Our frozen line consists of cakes, pies and all natural pie fillings.

Mike went to work in the family bakery supply business at 10 years of age. He worked every summer and after school in the warehouse, food production, and machine shop refurbishing equipment. Later in his teens, he drove the delivery truck to get a better knowledge on how customers were serviced and maintained. In 1971 he began developing new territories for the company to sell their products, which resulted in a very aggressive sales force by training each salesman individually in his own territory. He instilled into every employee that “Honesty, Integrity, Quality and Service” will be our driving force. Later he was promoted to Vice-President and began building a nationwide network of distributors and opened several company-owned branches.
With enthusiasm and dedication, Mike helped build the family-owned business into an industry leader with annual sales in excess of $50 million. The company was sold in 1992. Upon signing a covenant not to compete he pursued other ventures and interests for the next 10 years.
In 2003 he decided to join the team at Quality Bakery Products with the same philosophy, “We will always strive to do the absolute very best we can for our valued customers!”
Henry (Sandy) Wellborn
Sandy has had over 30 years experience in the baking industry. After serving his time in the U.S. Coast Guard, he applied to work in 1972 at a thriving privately owned bakery supply company in Dallas, Texas. Within a couple years Sandy moved to Houston to run the newest location as the Branch Manager. He ran a very successful, profitable company while maintaining several of the company’s largest accounts with his hard work, honesty and integrity.
The company was sold in 1992 and Sandy decided to venture out and form his own company. He did just that in 1993 and Quality Bakery Products was formed.
